The Republican candidate for US President sported an apron at the Feasterville-Trevose McDonald's to work the fryer and fill orders at the drive-thru window, according to previous reporting by Daily Voice.
Trump stopped at the restaurant ahead of a townhall in Lancaster County as part of his efforts to win over voters in battleground state Pennsylvania.
More than 145 reviews had already been posted before Yelp paused commenting on Tuesday, Oct. 22, an NBC 10 News report states.
This same restaurant's Yelp page now has a warning at the top that says, "This business is being monitored by Yelp's Support team for content related to media reports."
Further down on the page is an "Unusual Activity Alert" that states, "This business recently received increased public attention, which often means people come to this page to post their views on the news. While we don’t take a stand one way or the other when it comes to this incident, we’ve temporarily disabled the posting of content to this page as we work to investigate whether the content you see here reflects actual consumer experiences rather than the recent events. Please note that we apply this same policy regardless of the business and regardless of the topic at issue."
The alert also notes that customers who want to leave a review about a real experience should "check back at a later date."
